Short Dumps after Livecache patch

Former Member

I applied Livecache patch 7.6.2.8 to my instance and now I'm getting dumps. Patch went in fine, no errors. I was able to start Livecache fine.

Everytime I try to go to lca03 or om13 I get short dumps:

Runtime Errors DBIF_DSQL2_SQL_ERROR

Exception CX_SY_NATIVE_SQL_ERROR

Date and Time 05/30/2007 10:42:56

What happened?

The error "-28534" occurred in the current database connection "LCA".

What can you do?

Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.

To process the problem further, contact you SAP system

administrator.

Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look

at and manage termination messages, and you can also

keep them for a long time.

How to correct the error

Database error text........: "POS(1) Package must be

recreated:APS_COM_VERSION_GET, "

Database error code........: "-28534"

Triggering SQL statement...: "EXECUTE PROCEDURE "APS_COM_VERSION_GET""

Internal call code.........: "[DBDS/NEW DSQL]"

Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).

If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to

find an interim solution in an SAP Note.

If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following

keywords:

Any ideas on this? I searched OSS with no luck so far. It says to recreate a package, but I've never done that.

Hi there,

as you're an official SAP customer, please open an OSS message for your issue. For official SAP customers, OSS remains <b>the</b> communication method of choice (for these kind of issues).

To help you on your way:

- did you restart liveCache from LC10?

- did you use the correct liveCache package to upgrade with (not an OLTP package)?

- can you confirm that the LCA Apps routines were created correctly (and are of the latest version)? You should be able to retrieve this information from the lcinit.log or lcinit.his file.

Regards,

Roland

I actually just resolved it. I restarted it again and it seems fine. Did that twice before. Thanks

Restart the livecache through LC10 and the issue will be fixed.
