Technical Infrastructure Guide 2004s

Hey there,

for NetWeaver2004 existed a Technical Infrastructure Guide showing exaclty how synchronizing and deploying worked. is there a similar document for 2004s? due to the change from java to abap stack while synchronizing the images are to up to date anymore.

i am searching for an exact description how synchronisation and deploying works in 2004s using mi 7.0

can anybody help?

Hi Philipp

There is no Technical Infrastructure Guide explicitly for NetWeaver 04s. Also technically there is no difference in the way synchronization and deployment works in 04 and 04s. Just that in 04s we make use of ABAP Sync Service which internally make use of SAP Internet Communication Framework (ICF) for receiving requests from the client throught HTTP/HTTPS and processes them. Yes we do agree the images are not valid but conceptully there is no architectural change in 04 and 04s w.r.t the sync protocol or deployment mechanism.
