SAP GUI Uninstall

Good afternoon,

Has anyone got recommendation on the following:

I have been trying to uninstall the SAP GUI and the unistall is taking for ever.

I tried from the "Add/Remove programs" first and had to cancel.

I have tried as well fromt he setup.exe by selecting uninstall and it does the same, I left it for almost an hour and it did only about 10% of the process.

Nothing else is running on my PC, the uninstallation files are on the local disk. Nothing specific in the event log and the CPU usage is very low.

I understand it might not be SAP related and more something to do with my PC but just want to make sure there is not a known issue on uninstallation.

Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.

Hi Corinne,

You dont need to worry on Uninstallation timing.

Sometimes it may take more than 2 hours based on your System Configurations.

So please let the uninstall happens for some time and be patient.

If you get any error,let me know, I will try to fix it.

I thaught I was going mad. I wold have never expected a client side application to take that long to uninstall.

I guess I will need to be patient now.
