SAP download manager crashes

Hi ,

We have a windows 64bit m/c with Win2K3 Enterprise Edition ( 64 Bit ) .

We wnaetd to downlaod theap installables on this m/c

So we tried to install sap donwlaod manager.

But it crashes and gives following error in the event application logs

Faulting application sap_download_mgr.exe, version 5.0.0.0, faulting module sap_download_mgr.exe, version 5.0.0.0, fault address 0x00021cb0.

What can be the issue here.

This exe works fine on 32 bi on 64 bitt m/c

Hi Manoj,

1.Make sure you have installed the Java 2 Runtime Environment

SAP highly recommends that you install Sun's Java 2 Runtime Environment version

1.4.

2.Manual installation

Download the Download Manager Java Archive (958 KB).

a)Copy it to a directory where it can permanently reside: Open a shell ("command

prompt") and change directory (type: cd 'the directory name') to the directory to which

the Download Manager Java Archive was copied.

b)At the prompt, type: "java -classpath "DLManager.jar" dlmanager.Application The

Download Manager application starts up.

Pleas efollow the above procedure and specify S-user ID and password correctly.
