Hi -
In what cases is it Mendatory to create Inteface Mapping?
As We saw in my latest forum which did not require any MM or IM to be created.
What is the significance of Interface Mapping in developing End to end Scenario using XI ?
hi,
if you need any mapping (message mapping, ABAP mapping, java mapping) you need to create it
and put the name of your mapping inside
if not you don't need it (you just want to transfer file
from one place to another)

Interface mapping encapsulates all the repository objects. If you are doing message mapping (and other mappings),you have to create Interface Mapping.
Interface Mapping is used in Integration Directory.

When u want to transform data from one format to other, at that time MM and IM are mandatory.
What is the significance of Interface Mapping in developing End to end Scenario using XI ?
