Moving ESS applications from SP6 to SP11 via NWDI

Hi,

We are moving from EP7.0 SP6 to EP7.0 SP11. They are also upgrading BP from SP6 to SP11. As a result we have to move all the changes that we have made to the Standard ESS application on SP6 to SP11. Can you please guide us as to what needs to be done to achieve this.

I have gone through the NWDI cookbook. As per my understanding of the document, we need to have 3 tracks: SP6 original, SP6 Modified and SP11. We need to manually compare the applications on SP6 original and SP6 modified track via NWDS and then make the corresponding changes in the SP11 DC by checking out, checking in and activating activities procedure.

Please help.

What were your learning points with using the Metadata Comparison tool for this activity? We are finding that when we compare some DC's with the SAP Delivered DC's it will hang and finally crash. Not very robust.
