Is there a way to install multiple J2EE engine instances on one physical server? These instances are listening to different ports and are completely independent on each other.
Thanks,
Alvin Ma
Hi Alvin,
You can Install Multiple Instances(not dialog, Central System) with different SAP SIDs. There is no problem. Your H/W should support.
MMC will show all the Instances which all and are installed on the System(computer)

Hi,
I created two instaces successfully by following steps.
1. Select NetWeaver'04 Java System(J2EE Only)
2. MaxDB->Central System ->Custom Installation (For MAXDB)
Give Different SystemID while giving the inputs .

Hi Alvin,
Yes, you can install mutliple instances on one box.
You have to give different Instance No.s for each instance while installation.

Yes, just run the install program for each additional instance you want and choose different port numbers for each insstance.
Are you wanting to install additional Dialog Instances or multiple SCS and Central Instances?
