E-Commerce and SAP

Hi Everyone,

We have an e-commerce system which contains from front-end and back-end.

As one of our customers has SAP system, they want us to be integrated with their system.

In fact they want to just use our front-end application and this integration includes transmission of data from our system to their SAP. for example customer information/product information.

Should we create related tables in MaxDB and transfer data to them via BAPI and vice versa?!

Now, I want to know what is the best solution for this?

Can anyone tell me what steps should we pass?!

Best,

Nazanin

Hello,

The solution depends on your software and it's possibility. SAP offers many technologies to connect like EDI or RFC. It also offers connectors (.NET connector, Java Connector) which are in fact APIs using which you can communicate with SAP. For the technology to choose you first have to know what is supported by your software and how (where) would you like to trace errors, cause some technologies are not very friendly to trace errors like RFC.

Regards

Marek
