why we need to change XML file

Hi experts,

When we are using XML file as Input to the XI , what is the use of Adapter in this case? Can't it understand directly?

Adapter just picks the file from source directory and gives it to the XI in this case.

The Adapter Framework is responsible for communication between the SAP XI Integration Server and any SAP or non-SAP systems.

Hi ,

To receive and send data you need adapter. In your case you are receiving XML file and that file you want to transform or simpley transfer to receiver system . To do this activity you need a adapter .
