Hi,

For variant configuration you have to create the material as configurable. Select the material type as KMAT(configurable material). Then the item category group will automatically be selected as 0002.

Suppose you are selling bikes.

Steps:

1. CT04-create the characteristics. Colour & CC will be characteristic and in that blue/green/125/150 will be values. Save

2. CL01-create class and assign the characteristics to the created class. Use class type as 300(variants)

3. CU41-create configuration profile. Select MATERIAL and assign the class created in step2 to the configuration profile.

4. CT04-maintain the object dependencies.

5. Then create the variant key and assign it to the values. maintain pricing for the variant key.

6. create the sales order.
