how to download correct patch

Hello gurus,

I am confused with downloading the correct patch, needed for my system. I downloaded it once, 2 months back now as i again wanted to download, i got confused with the menu in OSS connectivity.

I am going to the following path. www.service.sap.com>downloads>sap support and packages-->??? after that i am getting confused where to go and how to download. Please help.

Hi,

If you want to know the support package that you have downloaded 2 months back..First go to your SAP system where you have applied the support pacakage and there go to status/SAP system data/component version..From here you can find the infromation of all the support pacakages that you have applied to the SAP r/3 system. If you want to download the support pacakage from oss, go to the path that you have specified and go to search for support pacakages and patches on the Top-right corner and do an advanced search on the software component or application group for which you want to apply the support package.
