Regarding RFC Connections on R/3 Side After the PI 7.0 Installation

Hi Experts,

We Installed PI 7.0.

We Run the Template Installers For the PI Post Installations and NWA.

On the PI Side in SM59 We have RFC Connections After We Run the Template Installers.

<b>Question1</b> ) Should We Create Any RFC Connections on the SAP R/3 Side Also ???

Please Help me in This

What Are the RFC Destinations We have to Create in Sm59 of R/3 Side.

Will u Please help me in this.

Hi Rajesh,

you need to connect your R/3 with SLD of PI.

you need to connect your R/3 with Integration Builde of PI.

you need to create an RFC destination that points to the Integration Engine of PI.

If you have alll these in place only then you can push any message from R/3 to PI using proxies.

Well if you have to send IDocs, you have to follow the generic steps of creating partner profile using an RFC destination targeting to the Integration Engine of PI.

I guess this answers your question.
