Share information between Web Dynpro applications

Former Member

Hello,

I would like to know if there is a way to share data between different Web Dynpro applications. My Web Dynpro just consist of different ivews that displays information coming from a BW system. Some BW information may have to be displayed in several application/view (I have one application for each view) I don't want to connect and read BW each time for performance reasons. In a classic web application, I would have used http session to store the data but I think with Web Dynpro it's impossible to access http session.

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Hi,

If u r need to pass only parameters through the app's or Iviews u can use Enterprice Portal Client Framework (EPCF) for this..

Thanks & Regards,

The amount of data I want to share is a way to big: It's the content to fill 1 or 2 tables and one business graphic (pie chart). I wish I could store the Java object and access it from further calls of the page.

It will be accessed thru portal, components on the same server but I don't think I can access any session from a wdp.

I don't mean just sending data but sharing. Actually, I want to store the context of my view so I don't have to recreate it each time (=1 BW connection=high processing time), I just want to avoid getting exactly the same information again and again from BW so my wdp render quicker.
