Visual Composer 6 and R/3 systems

Hello eveybody,

Am using EP 6, SP 9 and Visual composer 6.0. The problem I am having is : no systems are showing up in VC, even the connection with the poretal is succesful.

I’ve read all the hints about this issue but noting. Can anybody please help me?

What I’ve tried:

1.Make sure visualcomposer.sda pachage is installed ( I am using SP9, no need to do additional installations)

2.Connect to the portal (from VC) without the domain name : http://server_name:port

3.Add my portal to the trusted sites (in IE)

4.Check my systems for aliases (on the portal)

5.Test my systems with success

6.Create a system that doesn't use SAP LOGON tickets

Thank you in advance,

Bogdan

Hi Bogdan,

Deploy the following sda files in your portal, which are available in the portal-addons folder of the installer folder of VC:-

com.sap.visualcomposer.portalcontent.sda

com.sap.visualcomposer.sda

Thanks in advance,

Hello All,

When the systems list appears empty, many times this is a user authorization issue, what happens is even after you have logged in to the portal from the Visual Composer the user which executes the discovery from the portal is the user guest. If so you need to make sure that the UME settings in your JAVA AS are correct.

Turn up the trace level and you will be able to see in the VC log any errors.

Cheers,

Hi there,

The recent patch level available for VC is 6 in service.sap.com. But it is for ep6 sp11/12.

check out the patch levels of your VC as well as EP6.

Thank you.

Hi there,

We have the same problem..any idea how to get around this?

We have installed VC 6.0 and when connecting to SAP EP 6.0 from VC, the systems list is missing.

I have followed the standard installation guide for installing VC server. OS is Windows 2003 and we

are using IIS 6.0 with MS XML 4.0 SP2 (XML Parser).

Also, we are using a fully qualified domain name in the portal URL.

Thoughts ??

You should be using the FQDN to call the VC box as well as the portal box. There is a note from SAP on this.

Hi,

What kind of systems are you trying to access?

Did you try the Connectors' test in the portal?

VC uses the connectors to access systems, so generally you have to make sure that you pass the connectors' test in the portal before using it in VC.

Hope this helps,

Lior
