Can anybody tell me how to use and implement this in my application.

my kowledge on themes is void.

Helpful posts going to be rewarded.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Anil,

I am using NW2004S SP11, NWDS 2.0.9.

I downloaded "NW04SStack10Themes",

what all need to be downloaded "like plugins" to create a new theme and use the same for my application.

where to place this plugin in NWDS.

Hi ,

Go to SDN Downloads sections.. Web AS.. and you will find the themes download.. It will include all the files needed.

For How-to.. check my article

https://sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/webdynpro/colourful%20...

Hi Bharathwaj,

I have gone through your article,

there u specified, we need to have three folders to copy into nwds/plugin.

com.sap.ur.previeweditor_1.1.6,com.sap.ur.servlet_1.1.8 andcom.sap.ur.themeseditor_1.1.8.

but in NW04Stack10ThemesEditor I have :

com.sap.ur.themeseditor_1.1.10

com.sap.ur.servlet_1.1.9., I dont have the 3rd ..

Hi ,

There has been a change in the plugins for higher versions. Just copy all of the plugin files that have come with the SDN download and paste it in the plugins directory of ur NWDS.

Also , the links in the article wont work as SDN navigation was re-structured after that.

use Downloads -> Web AS section for related downloads

I navigated through windows->open perspective-> .. as said in your article, but could not found SAP UR Design/Themes.

Hi ,

The only reason I can see is , you are having a lower version of NWDS.. or that .. u have downloaded NW04s based plugins and imported it in NWDS 2. 0. X

For Nw04s, you need NWDS 7.X

Hi Bharathwaj,

I uninstalled nwds 2.X, installed nwds 7.x, copied the 7 plugin folders ino the nwds plugin folder.

Still I could not see the respecive perspective for Themes editing.

Hi Sai,

let me try and understand your problem as i've created a theme using NWDS for Web Dynpro recently. Things to note:

1. What version of Web Dynpro you running? We need the correct version of Theme Editor for Eclipse

2. Do you want the theme to affect all Web Dynpros running on that server or just specific ones?

3. Will Theme be deployed on the Web Dynpro server or Portal server?

Raj

Hi Raj,

1)----

I am working on NW 2004S sp11.

NWDS version : 7.0.06.

Themes editor zip file : NW04Stack10ThemesEditor (this is what I could download) from SDN.

2)----

I need this theme is to effect only one application.

3)----

Right now, the application is deployed into webdynpro server. later it may or may not be deployed into portal server.

actually my application need to work both on browser and portal. if the theme is effected in browser and it is overrided by portal theme, it may not be a problem.

But it would be better if tell me how to resist theme overriding by portal.

Actually my application development is verymuch completed, I am delayed with the theme for delivery.

Thanks for your Reply.
