activity tpye in Timesheets

hi friends,

Problem:while filling the Timesheets for an employee the activity type is not defaulted from the infotype 0315 , i.e is not coming from the HR master data of the employee.Can ne1 suggest?

Please let me know if you are transferring the employees from the HR system to the system where are doing the time sheet capture.

You can choose the infotypes while transferring the employee records. This is done in transaction PFAL.

Although it says they "default in", you actually need to enter the project, abs/att type and some hours, then hit enter. The screen refreshes and brings in the cost centre and activity type.

Hi.

Usually only the cost center is defaulted from HR data. Activity type is entered by the user in transaction CAT2. Activity type is set up with the cost center in transaction KP26. If you need to create an activity type it is transaction KL01.
