I need to send a PO-IDOC from an R/3 system to another R/3 System which is OUTSIDE our firewall?
What adapter I need to use on the Receiver Side?
Pete,
Create a file port and write the IDoc as IDoc File. Then you pick with file adapter from XI and send as FTP to the target. You dont need to create anything in IR. Only ID objects are needed.
This solution is applicable only if your target system can read the IDoc-File format.

Would you be more precise Sathish, I am confused with your answer.
So you are saying that on the Receiver side I need create a File port and need to
send the Message using the File Adapter!!!
But can't I use an Receiver IDOC adapter to connect an External R/3 system which is been outside our Firewall?
Thanks.
For the scenario where u would be using File adapter, have a look here,
U could also opt for SNC

Under this u could proceed with RFC communication

Pete,
You can use IDOC adapter at receiver side. But to allow IDOC to cross the firewall, network admin needs to allows data to be sent to Receiver from XI or from R/3 (If XI is not used).
