ESR - PI or CE?

Hi All,

We all know that the ESR will be available as part of PI7.1 later this year, but some SAP presentations also mention that ESR will also be available as part of CE? I am a little confused by this and was wondering which ESR should be used in which scenarios? CE is development orientated where PI is integration oriented, so where do they both fit into the grand scheme of things?

Hi Mark,

I believe that it is the same system. It is just different components installed at the WAS 7.1 and then it is up to the administrators to decide on which platform the ESR should be installed.

Thanks for the info. I have looked at the CE Master guide and cannot see any mention of PI (or an ABAP stack for that matter!). It would make sense if it was the same system, but the docs are not clear

Are you aware of any document/presentation that explains the connection between these components?
