Save exported excel file locally

Hi

I have successfully exported and excel document from web dynpro with the help of the people from the following link.

the excel document saves to the server, but not to my local PC.

Can someone pls help me figure out what how to do this?

Hi Anton,

Use Download UI element in your view to download this file. It will ask for open or save popup. from there, you can save it on your machine.

I've created a download UI element in the RootUIElementContainer and set data = binary attribute dataContent.

What else do i need to do?

I forgot to add a text property to the file download UI element.

Hi Anton,

when using NW04s follow https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/x/0mQ. In NW04 you must follow the Web Dynpro Bnary Cahce tutorial listed at the end of this wiki page.
