XI replacement from old interface

Hi experts,

we have a requirement of studying on a proposal for xi replacement from the present different interfaces used by the client.

we have to analyse 1) how would we do the changeover from old interfaces to XI .

2) Would there be any advantage of going for XI for these interfaces.

I am giving the list of interfaces that are currently being used between r/3 and other systems.

a)Email

b) FAX

c)travel expenses

d)Master (salaries)

e) EDI

f) Invoice processing

g) Process control systems

h)material movement interfaces

i)delivery/invoicing

this is an upgradation from 4.6c to newer version.

What do you suggest. Will appreciate your inputs.

a)Email - Mail adapter

c)travel expenses - check out the data incoming and try to select the appropriate IDOC - IDOC adapter will help if you select IDOC.

d)Master (salaries) -check out the data incoming and try to select the appropriate IDOC - IDOC adapter will help if you select IDOC.

e) EDI (use conversion agent,seeburger adapter will help

if ur looking for a middleware,then i would say XI is the best option

u can acheive the integration of ur interfaces with the following adapters

a)Email use Mail adapter

b) FAX use alerts management

c)travel expenses FTP/IDOC(depending upon ur source and dest.)

d)Master (salaries) FTP/IDOC(depending upon ur source and dest.)

e) EDI (use conversion agent,or seeburger(seeburger is third party tool)

f) Invoice processing use IDOC

g) Process control systems IDOC might work here too

h)material movement interfaces use IDOC

i)delivery/invoicing Use IDOC
