Hi Experts,

We Imported XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_12_00.tpz in to IR. But Here We Are Using PI 7.0

We Have Found Other XI7_0_SAP_BASIS_7.00_06_00.tpz File in the Installation DVD's.

Q1) Can We Maintain with XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_12_00.tpz ????

Q2) Should We Import XI7_0_SAP_BASIS_7.00_06_00.tpz Compulsary into IR ????

Q3)If YES Means can we keep the Old .TPZ File As it Is Or I have to Remove it ????

Please Help Me

Regards

Khanna

It is better if you remove SAP BASIS 640 and import SAP BASIS 700.

But be careful, you may have inconsistency problems with your adapters.

After you change the SWCVs, check all of them for errors.

Khana,

Go to

1. Remove your old corresponding .tpz from this location: : /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/

2. Copy your new .tpz into this directory /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/

2. On your SAP XI host, call transaction SXMB_IFR.

3. Choose Repository (Design).

4. Choose → Tools → Import Design Objects

2. Choose the file /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import .tpz

5. Import the file.

Just remove the SAP BASIS 640 SWCV (you'll have to manually delete all namespaces first) and then import the 7.00 tpz.

Hi,

Never tried this thing but.... I guess you should delete old XI3.0 file and import PI7.0 tpz file (as this file shipped with PI7.0).

In any case you can always reimport old XI3.0 so it is worth trying.
