Deploy to J2EE engine failer. who can help me?

My developing host is based on windows xp that has JDT 2.0.20 installed, My server that runs nw2004 is a remote one.It's hostname is ffcs-hqepdad, ip is 10.3.255.75,(I don't know why the monitor's ip is 10.3.255.61, I didn't configure this before).

Hi,

First check if the J2EE engine is running. Go to Windows -> Preferences -> SAP J2EE engine. Check if hostname (not ip) and port no. are entered correctly. If they are correct, check the server running green in J2EE engine view below. If it is running, then try deploying once again and let me know the result.

j2ee configration is right and view blew is all green. the error log is still as above. this is the short message:

Hi,

There are actually problems that would have caused this.

1) The password of administrator and SDM may be different. If so, the password of administrator has to be updated in secure store.

2) Host is not detected correctly

Also check this thread if anything helps.

Hi Liang,

It seems that there is a wrong entry specified in the secure storage.

Go to c:\usr\sap\<System ID>\JC00\j2ee\configtool.

Here open configtool.bat file.

It will open SAP J2ee Config tool. Here at left side you will have secure store. Click on that link. it will show different properties ar right side. Here, first property is admin/host/<system ID>.

Value of this property should be, eptest on which you server is resided.

I don't know why you are saying that server is resided on ffcs-hqepdad server. It is wrong. because, in you J2ee engine tab in Developer studio it is showing host is eptest.

Pleaase check thia and let me know.

for these reason,

I think perhaps my nw can't lookup eptest,so i edit the hosts file ,add a line:

10.3.255.75 eptest

then test the deploy is success.

Hi,

I'm not really an expert about cluster installations but for me it seems, that the host of the secure store in your cluster was changed. Open SAP J2EE Config Tool and have a look at the secure store. The host which is assigned to the property "admin/host/<SID>" is the one to which SDM connects to.

Hope this helps a little bit.
