i am new to the ERP and i want to join in SD as my back ground is MBA (marketing)

please let me know the job options and duriation of the course.

duration will be around 2 months ... as u are from MBA it will be easier for u...and regarding job options ...yes there are job opportunities .. also check with CRM .. and make a decision ....but once u decide dont think of other modules ....job opportunites are good

Dear Rajeev,

You can either choose SD, CRM, or SCM. But, personally i would suggest you to choose CRM as it suits your MBA specialisation and the demand is more and the supply is less for this particular module.

Regarding training centres, SAP authorised training centres are the best - Siemens education centres. They are located in Chennai/Delhi/Bangalore/kolkata/Hyderabad/Gurgaon. But it terms of cost they are very high but they are the only one to authorised to conduct certification exams (also Genovate of Mumbai).

Hi rajeev,

I will suggest you to to go for certification. In india, its through genovate and siemens. Well as somebody who has spent consideable amount of time in SAP field, I would suggest you to check with CRM Certification.

SAP-SD certification is 25 day course for 5 days a week & 5 weeks. The first four weeks is training & last week is dummy project.

It is recommended to do the course from Genovate Solutions or Seimens (in India), as they are authorized training partner. The course fees is high, but let me assure you that it is worth investing, as you will have a good career path.

During the course, we require to work for extended hours & practise on the system. Earlier part Time was available, but not now, as SAP has maintained control of the training server, which is available only from Monday to Friday.
