Hi Naveen,

Hope you are ready for the training now.....just to add, if you have to take only one course, go for TBIT44. BUT you need to make SURE that you go through the basics on your own (TBIT40 is the basics of XI) befor the training.

Hello,

I used to work at SAP as the global XI specialist for Training and Demo. I took BIT400 and had an EXCELLENT instructor. Her name is Belinda Lineman. In addition to the BIT400 course she also teaches the certification classes. She is EXTREEMLY knowledgeable in XI and a very good instructor.

Hi Naveen,

I would suggest that you call the education department and ask whether you can ask the instructor a couple of questions to make sure, wether it is TBIT40 or TBIT44 which you should attend. Usually the education department will make the contact. So you can talk to the instructor and get a feeling whether this particular instructor will be ok for you.

However, you cannot be sure for 100%, because there may be of course a last minute change of instructors. But those I know (mainly teaching in EMEA) are very good (myself included

As for the course, there are two different sequences of classes which cover almost the same material.

Classes BIT4xx are meant for customers, whereas TBIT4x are meant for consultants. So you definitely need prior experience with SAP and with systems integration in general if you want to follow the TBIT4x strings.

If you have had no prior XI experience, by all means do TBIT40 first!! You will have no chance following TBIT44 if you didn't. TBIT44 offers no theory at all, just loads of exercises and an hour or two of recapitulation of topics you should have already learned during TBIT40, TBIT41, TBIT42, and TBIT43. I definitely know this, because I teach TBIT44 about 10 times a year.

The BIT4xx courses are somewhat slower in pace and the material is lovingly created.

Cheers,

Michael

Naveen,

My opinion would be to attend TBIT44 (Mapping, Adapters and BPM) instead of 40. Because this would give you more advaned knowledge. Also 40 is for basics of XI and an overview of XI. If you do 44 it covers more or less 40 and advanced topics to this also. Also would be helpful in writing XI certification.
