Hi all,

does anyone of you have some insight in the possibiltiy to have the SAP Gui Client on any mobile device like Blackberry / Nokia Communicator ....?

I am searching for gadgets that makes it possible to carry a small device with you and to have access to SAP Systems through that.

Any input is appreciated

Thank you

regards

Nesimi

Hi Nesimi,

According to me MI should solve your business purpose.

Any handheld device which supports Windows Mobile OS 2003 or 2005 can be used, HP iPaq is one such device, for more information you can visit http://service.sap.com/pam

PPC 2005/2003 supports MI

RAM: >=64 MB

Supported Operating Systems:

Windows 2000/XP

PocketPC 2003

Supported Browsers:

Internet Explorer >= 5.5

Pocket Internet Explorer (PIE)

Java Runtime Environment

PocketPC: Personal Java 3.1

(Creme JVM installation with client)

Win32: JDK (or only JRE)

1.3.x and 1.4.x (Separate JVM/JDK installation)

Hope this is helpful.

Cheers,

Karthick

Have a look at RIM's developers site for BlackBerry-SAP Integration here:

http://blackberry.com/go/sapdev

a lot of choices for BlackBerry are described in detail, and there is a list of partners/integrators mentioned on the site. You might also want to check out http://www.skytechnologies.com/ or one of there partners like http://www.morse.com/

cheers

Hi:

Unfourtunately MI is for offline mobile apps. Based on the question I think Mobile Web Dynpro is the right solution.

SAP has an old product named SAPConsole that allows running SAP GUI on DOS Devices. There are newer solutions in ther market that can run SAPGUI.

Try a search for SAPConsole and Mobile Web Dynpro. That should give you possible options.
