my r3470*200 tp has problem

when cmd model: tp connect <SID>

This is tp version 320.59.03 (release 620, unicode enabled

E-TPSETTINGS could not be opened.

EXIT

Error in TPSETTINGS: transdir not set.

tp returncode summary:

TOOLS: Highest return code of single steps was: 0

ERRORS: Highest tp internal error was: 0208

tp finished with return code: 208

meaning:

error in transportprofil (param missing, unknown,...)

I do have TPPARAM in usr/sap/trans

and when I use se38 report"RSTPTEST" to test

"Tp call" is not correct.

and

1)other system in the same server use the same transdir works well

2)tp connect <sid> pf=<my system profile> also works well.

so My problem is how to set the default profile to TP? and I am updating SPAM, error stop in tp_cannot_connect_system.

any one help.

Regards

hi,thank you for replay

But I have already download the latest tp version from service.sap.com.

and the Unicode kernel patch level is 1773.

and if I in cmd line, use "tp connect <sid>",and the TPSETTINGS file is exist in the current dir,it works.

but I put TPSETTINGS in system32 or other path dir, and run"tp connect<sid>" withour TPSETTINGS file in current dir, it can not find the file.

So, where should I put the TPSETTINGS file?(and in /trans/bin it not works)

EXIT

Error in TPSETTINGS: transdir not set.

ERRORS: Highest tp internal error was: 0208

Hi,

Can you Check the Domain.CFG under \usr\sap\trans\bin folder whether all the settings are correct.

Is it a production system?
