How to differentiate plant and vendor number range ?

Hi,

Sorry to repost but the issue is still there.

While replicating plants from ECC to SRM, the system is creating in SRM a business partner for each plant. You can check this in the extended attribute tab for location.

In my case, the business partner created (for the related replicated plant) use the same number range than the one for the vendor( the vendor is a business partner...).

My SRM vendors are replicated from ECC and are coded in the number range 0000000001 to 0999999999.

My question is : :

I should have been configuring the partner number ranges as follow :

0000000001 to 0999999999 should be flagged as external for vendor replication

and i should use another internal number range for plants replications.

Could somebody confirm me this statement ?

Kind regards,

Yann

Hi Yann,

like I understand, you want to use the internal ECC Vendor number in SRM. In

that case your idea looks logical to me. With the internal number range, all

internal business partner objects get a different internal number. An example I did

is replication of vendors from ECC with external number range 30xxxxxx. Then

replication of plants with internal number range like 11xxxxx. It works fine.

Thanks,

Claudia

Hi Claudia,

As my system is already implemented the wrong way, i will test it in another empty environment.

Thanks

Kind regards
