Minimal installation WAS Java

I want to install WAS 6.4 and the partner connectivity kit (PCK) for developement of Adapter modules on my laptop. How do I install a minimal WAS 6.4 with java stack?

In sdn I found several Trial versions

  • Java™ EE 5 Edition: Super, small, works neatly but PCK is not installable with this one

  • SAP NetWeaver 2004 XXX, very big, contains applications I don't need.

I found references to older trial versions for WAS 6.4 but they are no longer accessible. Is there a way to access older trial versions?

On the service marketplace I tried to download e.g. "DVD SAP NetWeaver 04 SR1 Installation Export" but the archive was empty.

Anyone can help?

Hi Jochen,

All NetWeaver trial versions can be downloaded from <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/downloaditem?rid=/library/uuid/cfc19866-0401-0010-35b2-dc8158247fb6">here</a> or the general <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/downloads">download</a> space on SDN (which also links to the previos page). Currently, some of the downloads are not available but will be updated soon.

What you probably need is the Developer Workplace. As I see you are an SAP employee, you can also find the installations on the internal shares. If you need more info about the latter, please contact me by mail/phone and I'll try to help you.

Best regards,

Vladimir
