Hi SRM Gurus,

I am facing problem in Cross Catalog Search. System not able to search any items.

We are in CCM 2.0 and SRM 5.0. CCM is in separate installation.

Any configuration apart from Cross Catalog search activated for catalogs, is required?

Thanks & Regards,

Ramkumar

Note 866547 - Error when accessing TREX server</u>

The TREX server that is supposed to be contacted when you publish or search is unavailable.
This can be demonstrated by the following activities:

Determine the RFC destination used in the CCM system.
In Transaction SPRO, select "SAP Reference IMG".
Navigate to
-> Cross-Application Components
  -> SAP Catalog Content Management
    -> SAP Catalog Search Engine
and select the IMG activity "Specify RFC Destinations for TREX".
Note the RFC destination that is used (according to the language selected for the catalog).
Check the availability of the TREX server.
In Transaction SE38, execute the report TREX_RFC_CREATE_INDEX.
On the selection screen of the report, enter the RFC destination from the previous task in the field RFC_DEST (or use the input help).
Do not change any other fields on the selection screen, and execute the report.
The availability of the TREX server is given when one of the following output screens is displayed (all other outputs indicate that the communication with the TREX server is defective):
(a) either
Return code:         0
Return text: No error
(b) or
Return code:     2.003
Return text: At index already exists with the...

Hope this will help.

Hi Atul,

After executing the report TREX_RFC_CREATE_INDEX with the RFC Destination for TREX server, I am getting this message

"

Return code: 2,441

Return text: temp delta not supported together with text mining"

However, I am able to search when I am searching in individual catalog.

This return code implies what?

Thanks & Regards,

Ramkumar

Hi

The TREX server (service) must started and be contactable by RFC - this can be checked by carrying out the actions listed above. (Refer OSS Note - 866547 Error when accessing TREX server for more details )
