Want to know the ways a conversion can be done in Cut over stage.

Hi,

You can use the following

1. LSMW - Record the transaction and then format in the excel with all fields and then upload.

2. ECATT

3. CATT

4. BDC

5. QTP ( tool used for uploading)

Hi

In cut over mainly All masterdata and transation data need to uploaded in to SAP

For uploading master data SAP recommends to use LSMW.

Other tolls available is BDC,ECATT.

For uploading the transational data uses the BDC.

Most important thing in this phase they will do ALE and EDI settingsfor data flow between different systems

if it use ful reward me.

If we have a large number of data to be converted, for example Material master, which is the ideal tool to be used with less errors.

Generally we use LSMW for mass conversions.

For this all tables and fields should be well known and skills in LSMW is very handy as many a times it troubles, once its done perfectly you can rely on it.

Once u create an LSMW and then execute it, it will create a session, whcih has to be run in SM35 and then process it.

SECATT is a tool which we can use for testing as well as datamigration laso, as cutover strategy is nothing but a plan to migrate the data we use tools like LSMW,SECATT and BDC to convert the legacy data in to SAP
