Means of transport in sales order

Hi all,

i want to enter some data in field "means of transport" in sales order Header data in shipping tab, but i dont have any values maintained there, where do i maintain the data of means of transport so that i ll reflect in F4 values of my sales order.

plz advice.

Hi anil kumar

Go to SPRO>Logistics Execution>Shipping>Packing>Define Packaging Material Types> New entries.Here u create MnsOfTrns type Ex: Truck, train etc.

Then you can create new means of transport in MM01. Actually means of transport is a packaging matrial which is used to carry actual material to be shipped.

Hi Anil,

You can define the means of Transport using the menu path:

SPRO - F5 - Logistic Execution - Transportation - Basic Transportation Functions - Routes - define Routes - Define Mode of Transport
