Hi all,
When a purchaser processes a bid invitation, in the basic data in the item data tab there is the possibility to put the flag: "Order as Direct Material".
Does anybody know why is this flag useful?
Thanks in advanced,
Mar
Hi,
This material will come into inventory for which reservations can be made.
When you order a material as direct material there will not be any account assignment. This is like normal R/3 purchase without account assignment and later we can move it to any account(cost center) by goods issue

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your answer, just one more question. When you say that a direct material is stored in inventory does it mean that can be used in reservations? Against which account assignemnt is ordered a direct material (if an indirect material is agains a cost center)?
Thanks a lot in advanced,
Mar
