2004 versus 2004s

Currently, SAP releases support packages for 2004 as well as 2004s.

E.g., SP18 for 2004 was in parallel to SP09 for 2004S.

Can anyone tell if it is known how long this will continue, or is there a "latest" SP planned for 2004, while 2004S will continue with newer packages?

For 2004 I think you have the service pack 20. Check this release notes:
