Dear Neelam,

You can use 'GL_ACCT_MASTER_SAVE ' FM to create GL Account.

Dear Neelam,

A G/L account is a record of increases and decreases of specific assets, liabilities, fund balances, expenditures and revenues, collectively, forms a basis for creating balance sheets and P/L statements. An account is not specific to and not descriptive of any University department or operation. G/L Accounts will be created by the Controller’s Office as approved by the Treasurer and Vice President of Business and Finance.

Business transactions are posted and managed in the general ledger via accounts. Each master record contains settings that control the flow of financial transactions. The G/L accounts record the business transactions in line item and totals form. In the standard system, all business transactions which are posted to G/L accounts are updated in the general ledger.

In R/3 version 4.6B, the Enjoy! screen combines FS01, FS02, and FS03 into one screen, FS00 Centrally – Individual Processing.

In order to create similar accounts quickly, click on the “Create with Reference” button.

T.Code: FS00

This is normally a responsibility of FI consultant during implementation & it is uploaded through upload tools like LSMW / ECATT / BDC, etc. However, in regular practice this is responsibility of core team member / end user, as G/L is FI master data.

Incase you want to create a new G/L account, which is similar to existing G/L account, you can create it with reference & do the necessary changes.

In FS00 we cretae GL accounts,But this is done by FICO Consultanat
