Regarding PI 7.0 Installation

Hi Experts,

We Installed PI 7.0 with the help of the PI 7.0 Installation Guide.

Double Clicked on Sapinst.exe

Expanded the Tree Sap Netweaver Components------>>SAP SYSTEM.

We Selected AS Java,,,,,AS ABAP .

We Selected PI, EP Components to Install.

We Completed Up to Here Successfully.

<b>Here My Doubt is In Additional Software Life-Cycle Tasks->>Java Add-In for ABAP</b><u></u>--

With out this Also the Installation will Complete or Not???

You Should not Perform This Also as you selected AS Java and AS ABAP during installation/

if you selected only AS ABAP and after installation want also add AS JAVA then you should do Additional Software Life-Cycle Tasks--->>Java Add-In for ABAP

It is not mandatory.

But in order to have successful installtion run the post installations configurations templates for NWA, PI after installation.

I think what Ramesh was trying to say was that you can run template from the NWA...

There are various usage types that you can run PI being one of them. Please note that although this configures most things there are 1 or 2 steps that still need to be done manually... Please see this link...
