Is it possible to save a smartform ?If yes then how ?

Hi,

I need to provide a soft copy of the smartform to the client. But i am finding no option to do so ( normally print is given directly but not saving the smartform)

Please guide me with this.

Hi ,

After issuing the printy command spool request no will be displayed in the bottom of the screen or you cn get it from transaction SP01 and execute. In order to chek the output for a given spool request no Click the corresponding Type field .

Then go to se38 and execute report

RSTXPDFT4 and provide the spool no as input and save the out . The output will be saved in PDF Format .

Hi,

i think you can configure a printer a pdf format. Then use that printer in the communication method. After trigerring the smart form, go to SP01 and there you can get the option to save the form in pdf format.

Hi,

I don't think there is ny way of saving the o/p of the Smartform..But to show it to the client u can take the snapshot n print it.

The snapshots not going to work, the smartform o/p runs to 3-4 pages .

Hi Omkar,

Try these steps

1. Go to transaction EFRM

2. Give your appl name. Select FORM. Press Display.

3. Go to Utilities->Settings

Change trace level to "Very Detailed Trace".

4. Go back. Select HEIRARCHY. Press Display

5. Execute & give virtual printer name(eq LOCL)

6. And select Print Immediately & press PRINT

This creates Spool request

7. Go to SP01 transaction. execute

8. Press Attachments button. Save the file to desktop. Even you can try with forwarding (but for me it didnt worked)

i think u can download it in this way.

SMARTFORMS->UTILITIES->DOWNLOADFROM.

there u have to specify the path. then it will save as XML file.

This will be the soft copy of smart form.

But what I want is something different.

I dont want the form in XLM format.

After the report in which the form is called is run, it asks for print preview.

Then after the preview can I save the smart form ( the form as in the receipt displayed in the preview ) ?
