Cannot connect to SDM through RemoteGui.bat

Hi

I couldnt connect to Software Deployment Manager (SDM) through RemoteGui.bat. Its getting stuck after I provide the password.Also the files sdm_remotegui.err and sdm_remotegui.out doesnt show anythig and are blank.

Could you please help me with this.

Shall I reinstall the SDM.

Kindly tell me how to install SDM afresh...

1.<Driver>:\usr\sap\<SystemID>\<Instance_num>\SDM\program

Ex:--> C:\usr\sap\X57\JC00\SDM\program

2. Click on "RemoteGui.bat" --> you will get SDM GUI Screen.

3. click on SDM GUI --> Login ( you will get login dialog screen)

4. Enter password of Administrator

make sure the port number is correct or not. ex: 50018

5. Click on Login

Please follow steps; you will successfully logon into SDM.

Hi,

If you want to install SDM separately this is the procedure.

For that you have to <b>extract SDMKIT.jar.</b>

You can find the SDMKIT.JAR in the following path:

Go to the Java DVD: find the folder J2EE_OSINDEP/SDM

The extract the SDMKIT.JAR

Procedure for doing this is:

Using the jar.exe present in the JDK directory extract the SDMKIT.JAR.

After extracting there will be a batch file install. Just run it. It will ask details like SDM home location etc. Give those details.

SDM will be installed

Hi,

Check your engine is running fine(SAP MMC).

then Try

go to directory "/usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE>/SDM/program" and start "sdm jstartup mode=integrated"

Check SAP Note:824357 for the problem and solution
