Transport is running for a long time.

i have made a transport reqeust

When i try to import, the transport is running for a long time and i could see the truck icon.

The size of the transport Data file is also 1 MB only

Pls help me in this

Hi,

See the Actionlog and slog. probably the background job RDDIMPDP is not scheduled..check the same and revert

Hello Balaji,

Please check if the job RDDIMPDP is running ot not. Just check if any instance of this job has run after thee import started. his can be checked using SM37 with user as * and from time same as start of import time and date as date when import started.

If it is not running then run the report RDDNEWPP in client 000 and the client in question using user DDIC.

Please award points if issue is solved.

it is running and moving to Green square.

I dont know whether it is imported or not..

I select the option Asynchronous

Also imports must be done synchronously!!

hello Balaji,

Please cancel this import job and delete any entries you find in Import monitor (You will find it in STMS).

Then restart the import in synchronous mode. That should solve the issue.

Hello Balaji,

This might be because you have choosen import asychronously

If import is executed asynchronously, dialog or batch process is released

after import was started (this is where your job might not have started immediately)

If import is executed synchronously, dialog or batch process is blocked

until import has ended.

Cancel the previous job via SM37 and reschedule the job with option Execute synchronous.
