How to avoid external id field in xRPM 4.0

Hello All;

Can someone please help me out with the backend settings for xRPM 4.0 regarding the following issue :

I am under the portfolio mgmt tab > Administration page..trying to create the first item.

I am unable to view the external id field and provide the details which seems to be mandatory requirement for proceeding further.

Is a workaround possible to avoid this field or how to activate this field.

Also if probable causes of this field not being displayed are given that will help me resolve the issue.
