Hi Subhasis,

SY-UNAME will return the SAP id given to u by the client

And SY-BUKRS will not return anything but the error as there is no component like BUKRS in structure SYST..

It was probably asked to confuse u..

Check all the fields of structure SYST..

Thanks.

Hello Subhasis,

SY-UNAME will return the sap user id of current user.

BUKRS field stands for 'Company Code'. It is purely an application data and has nothing to do with system fields. So I beleive it was asked to you to check if you know what is bukrs field and if yes, then whether you can think and understand that it has nothing to do with system fields.

One advice/request to you, please do not specify any organisation name in the threads (like the way you have done in the first sentence of your thread), doesn't look nice.

Indrajit.

Hi,

SY-UNAME is system Field which returns USER NAME.

There is no System Field with the name SY-BUKRS.

BUKRS is a table field which holds the Company Code only.

you can check KNB1, LFB1 etc., tables.

You can check the requiered system Fields at SYST table.

Please reward rank that will help me to go forthur.

Hi,

Sy-syst is a component of SYST table, which returns User Logon Name.

It does not have any component like BUKRS.

Hi,

sy-uname will return the user name in the system you have logged on to.

sy-bukrs doesn't exist.
