Where is do we use adapter type - XI adapter?

-> XI adapter is used to communicate within Integration Engine.
-> Mainly used in PCK Integration
->when you are sending data from IE to any Application System (abap proxy) then it is requried.

XI adapter is used when ur using proxies,
suppose ur using client ABAP proxy(sender side)then u will configure a sender XI adapter for this.
XI aadpter does not behaves like other adapters coz its used with proxies and proxies are adapter less communications
