After updating an ECC 5.0 installation, the system is not going up. I have the next error messages:
Error: 13, Open Logging-File "sapstart.log". EACCES*: Permission denied OR: The data is invalid.
If I look at the instance parameter via the MMC console I see a lot of "
". Is this harmful?
DIR_ATRA=D:\usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS00
data
If I type in sapstart in a commandprompt, I get the message:
sapstart=>sapparam(1c): No Profile used.
sapstart=>sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in Profile nor in Commandline

Thanks in advance

Please check following:
- if the profile file was corrupted. Check your profile service
- permission issue on sapmnt shared
- wrong DIRECTORY PATH setting
- try startup with the following format
sapstart name=<SID> nr=<Instance Number> SAPDIAHOST=<hostname>
