Alerts are not getting generated in Alert Inbox

Hi All,

I did all the configurations as shown in below two weblogs:

/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--step-by-step

/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--troubleshooting-guide

But still I am not getting alerts in RWB->Alert Inbox or in SLG1(Object-ALERT).

I even executed the report RSALERTTEST. An ID was generated and alert reached my inbox.

Please guide me any other step how to get alerts which is not mentioned in above two weblogs.

Hi,

Check with the Report SXMSALERT_LOGREADER in se38 where we can see the detailed process of Alerts (Triggered , skipped.....)

And in Report- SXMSALERT_LOGREADER, I am getting following again and again for each alert

Ok Thanks i got the problem it is one of my Dummy scenario.

Hey

even i had this problem,just make all the dummy wrong scenarios inactive,u can go in RWB and make all those sender communication channels inactive whcih are givin u errors.

then u will see ur alerts properly

Adding a quick note here, the report needs to be schduled only if you are below SP 14 on XI 3.0 . If SP 14 or above the tips in Michal's blog are no longer relevant as XI 3.0 SP 14 onwards XI alert framewrok was decoupled from End to End Monitoring.

did u check if PIRWBUSER is unlocked in SU01?also make sure ur alert configuration is properly done

I checked SU01 for user “PIRWBUSER”.But I am getting message->

“User PIRWBUSER does not exist”.

Do I need to create this user ID? If it is so where I need to configure this user ID?

it can be XIRWBUSER if ur using XI 3.0:)

yeah u do need to create this user,ask the basis guys to do it for u,and give suffecient rights to the user so that alerts cant be triggered

Hi Ahmead,

XIRWBUSER exist in system with status ‘saved’.

And it having ‘SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR’, ‘SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER’, ‘SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER_MAIN’ roles.

But still I am not able to figure out why alert is not working. Because its not complicated configuration as explained in weblod just 2 steps 1) ALRTCATDEF 2) RWB.

Hey

yeah ,thats correct,since ur getting alerts using SE38,ur configurations looks good too,

have u checked the Suppress multiple alerts check box in RWB,try deselecting it and trigger ur alerts.

Thanks I am getting Alerts.

But problem is that now I am getting 5 to 6 alerts in RWB- Alert Inbox.

Even If no scenario is working. Error message “Send request for INT has no recipients” in SLG1

I have set background job for program SXMSALERT_PROCESS_DATA_GET to run every 5 minutes

Any Idea.
