Niranjan,

This Host settings is just for accesing ok ! , you have to maintain this in every machine which uses CAD Interface, and it can be local host and as well as the server host #. which ever you are using.

Each local machine will have different host id,

Sorry for late replies, as i am busy in some proposals

127.0.0.1 localhost let it be in all your machines it doesn't matter

but whereus whichever server you are working on "dev" "qa" etc

mentioned their server id

129.300.22.101 hpdev

128.200.21.102 hpqa

etc.....

This will do it.

Hi Niranjan,

The Implications are:

When you try to save a CAD file through interface with SAP, then "KEY" will be generated i.e. CAD KEY which establish a LINK b/w SAP & CAD, this Host file helps to maintan/Identify the Link.

Hi Niranjan,

It is done in "host" file which is located in your system

C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc

under "etc" you find a file "hosts" open with Notepad and give the Localhost or Server host #'s

128.xx.xy.00... localhost

1XY.AB.CD.00. hpdev

etc.. etc.
