I am trying to unarchive inQuera Repository, it was giving error like "not able modify the database". even the option "update repository" is not enabled to update. I have tried by clicking on the option "Check Repository -> Check and Repair" also. Please give me valuable suggestion to work on this.
thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ravi.
Hello Ravi
Frist check the space available in ur server. If its full u cant unarchive repository.
Second reason could be difference in version of installs.
Check the port numbr on whcih u r goint to unarchive repository.
Check DBMS settings also
Console, right click on the repository , choose DBMS Settings.
You can see the Data Path and the Log Path and Default Partitions.
Data Path specifies in the file system where database files will be created whenever you create a new MDM repository. Log Path specifies in the file system where the SQL Server transaction log file is created. This is for SQL Server.

Hi Ravi,
To unarchive the repository first copy it to <b> .a2a</b> file to the archive directory of your MDM server installation.
This directory under
<b> \Program Files\SAP MDM 5.5\Server\Archives.</b>
Or If you have maintained different path while Installing it, then please check under that.
I belive both Unarchiveing & Archiving will take few minutes, so you should live it for some time and then check it again.
