may i get some information on config settings to be done and also the basic functions that are applicable for a company which is in telecom products business (terminals,high speed internet access products)

what are the basic things we should look for this kind of business

For any kind of configuration to be done in any project,it is important to know how the client is operating his bussiness.

You should get the following details from client:-

1.What are the type of scenario which are applicable.Eg.Stock from available,Cash sale,Export sale,Consignment

2.Which are the areas in which client is doing bussiness.Eg.Domestic,Export

3.What is pricing fundamentals they follow

4.How and what master data needs to be maintained etc

Get as much as information possible understanding the <b>Exact bussiness process.</b>

Following things should consider before configuration

1.Business Procees

-Sales Procees (Inquiry\Quotation\SA\Contract,etc)

The way company selling it's product\service through

internet,dealer,distributor,etc.

Sales domestic\export etc,

This will helpful for enterprise set up.

For pricing you should look the current billing process and future any new requirement.

Partner determination: Ask the client what are the partners he is looking sold to party, ship to party,bill to party,payer,sales employee,forwrding agent,etc.
