Time interval and schedule

Hello All,

Here is the scenario I have in my mind.

Lets say the shift timings are different for the weekdays and the weekend,For eg, the first shift is 9 – 4 on a week day and 6 -12 on a Sunday then would it be ok two create a ‘time interval’ called ‘first_shift_Monday’ and set its time from 9-4 and create another ‘time interval’ called ‘first_shift_Sunday’ and set its time from 6-12 and add both the time intervals to the same schedule. Would the 'Current Shift' work based on the day of the week??

Thanks in advance for your time and effort.

Cheers,

Praveen

Actually, you should create two schedules, in this case - one for "weekend' and one for "weekdays". The current shift selection mechanism does not factor in the day of week.

Thanks Rick.

I was thinking on simlar lines but this approach would lead to its own set of issues in my business case.

That's an interesting concept. I'm not sure if it would work or not. Try it out and post back to the forum. I'm guessing that it would only look at time stamps, not days of week. But, who knows?
