Shared memory disposition overview

Shared memory pools
Key: 10 Pool
Size configured.....: 19880000 ( 19.0 MB)
Size min. estimated.: 150132426 ( 143.2 MB)
Advised Size........: 154000000 ( 146.9 MB)

Size min. estimated.: 108975040 ( 103.9 MB)

In my instance profile I have the following set:
ipc/shm_psize_10 154000000
ipc/shm_psize_40 112000000
Two questions:
Why does "Size configured" differ from what is in my profile?
Could my ulimit settings for <sid>adm; not allow the system to see all the resources available?
Thanks
Hi,
you say:
> In my instance profile I have the following set:
> ipc/shm_psize_10 154000000
> ipc/shm_psize_40 112000000
Pls. double check that these settings are really in your profile <profile_name> on the operating system level, not only in RZ10 without activating the profile. Can you post your <profile_name> here?
Best regards,
Elmar.

Stop the SAPOSCOL and again check with command sappfpar check pf=<profile name>, actual value will be reflected.

Hi Kai,
When you activated the profile, did you choose "SAP Recommanded" option or the "Actual values" option?
