I want to pull the data from R/3 4.6C to BI 7.0. Can I implemnt it using XI

I have a 2 new requirements,

1. I am using BI 7.0 and want to pull the data from R/3 which is 4.6C. Can I implement this using XI?? If yes can any one guide me how to proceed with..

2. I want to Display the data inside the table of ECC 6.0 on to the portal. Can I do that with the help of XI. If yes, Please help me...

no need for XI - use webdynpro for that
