What is the use of SF Trace in Smartforms? and how the Smartforms are tested?

Use transaction SMARTFORM_TRACE to turn on the trace and then run your smartform.

Hi Aravind,

Once a smartform is activated it generates a function module.

to get the function module go to <b> environment->function module name</b> inside the smartforms.

Go to the function module and a set a break point inside the function module.

Now execute the driver program linked to the smartform which starts debugging.

You can into the Smartform generated Function Module by putting the break point for this FM....Then You can put the break point for statement SELECT after getting into the FM.

Then keep pressing F8 until u reach to a select statement that corresponds to the query that u have written...

put the statement BREAK <user id> in any Program line node .

at the time of excution it will automatically halt at that point...

There are other ways too..but this is the easiest one.
